Dechert News Release
With the opening of its Dubai office on May 1, Dechert LLP added its third new location in 2012, significantly expanding the firm's global footprint and the services it provides to clients worldwide. The team in Dubai is part of a broader emerging markets group led by partner Camille Abousleiman focused on capital markets, corporate finance, private equity, fund formation and restructuring that also has members based in London and in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In addition to Dubai, the firm added an office in Almaty, Kazakhstan in early April focused on serving clients in the energy sector and a location in Frankfurt, Germany in January focused on financial services. Combined, the three new offices bring an additional 37 non-U.S. lawyers to the firm.
Several of Dechert's existing European offices have also seen significant growth this year. In London, partners Antony Dutton and Duncan Wiggets joined the White Collar and Securities Litigation Practice and Miriam Gonzalez founded the firm's Trade and EU Government Affairs Practice, while in Paris, the firm expanded its intellectual property practice with the addition of partner Marianne Schaffner.
