Dechert and PwC Advise AGC Equity Partners on Acquisition of Vodafone Campus

A German-British team of international law firm Dechert LLP led by Dr. Olaf Fasshauer, Hans Stamm (both Munich) and Jeremy Trinder (London) advised a fund managed by asset investment firm AGC Equity Partners Limited on the partial acquisition of Vodafone Campus as well as on the related financing. PwC Real Estate led by Andrew Smith (London) and Marcel Mies (Düsseldorf) also acted as advisors in this transaction.

The transaction is one of the most significant real estate deals signed 2013 in Germany.

Vodafone Campus in Düsseldorf-Heerdt, which is rented on a long-term basis to telecommunication company Vodafone GmbH as its German headquarters, was completed end of 2012 offering room for 5,000 employees. The fund acquired four of the seven buildings comprising the Vodafone Campus, including the 19-story Vodafone Tower with adjacent buildings and the underground garage and parking ramp.

The Vodafone Campus was built by Zech Group GmbH, a management holding company in cooperation with Vodafone to create a corporate campus with 85.000 m2 state-of-the-art office space.

This transaction is the latest in a series of landmark real estate acquisitions in Europe by funds managed by AGC Equity Partners and advised by Dechert.
