The Draft Financial Services Bill in the Context of the Proposed New UK Financial Regulatory Structure

The UK Government’s proposals for reform of the financial services regulatory structure represent a response to concerns in UK financial regulation identified during or after the financial crisis which began in 2007. This update summarises the new UK financial regulatory structure and the draft Financial Services Bill, which is at present subject to scrutiny in the UK Parliament.
