Albert R. Chen advises fund sponsors on the structuring and formation of domestic and offshore private investment funds, including hedge funds, private equity funds, venture capital funds, real estate funds and fund-of-funds. He also counsels investment advisers on their SEC registration or exemption and with fulfilling their regulatory and compliance obligations, including compliance with the Dodd-Frank Act. Mr. Chen has experience advising and negotiating limited partner investments in a variety of private investment funds.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Chen worked in the alternative investment funds group of a large international law firm. Mr. Chen’s prior experience also includes serving as a pro bono legal fellow at Immigration Equality in New York City.
