Dechert Increases Market Share of Irish Funds Industry by a Third

Dechert LLP has substantially increased its combined Irish domiciled and non-domiciled market share of funds by a third, according to Monterey Insight’s Ireland Fund Report, which provides a comprehensive overview of the Irish funds market. The report identified that Dechert took on more new funds than any law firm in the Irish market in 2021.

The report also notes that Dechert has tripled the volume of assets in Irish-domiciled funds the firm represents and doubled assets under management for Irish-domiciled and non-domiciled funds. From 2020 to 2021, the number of Irish domiciled funds represented by Dechert in Ireland increased by 55% from 167 to 258, a testament to the continued growth of the firm’s Irish funds practice in response to increased client demand. Dechert currently represents nine of the world’s top 10 largest global asset management firms and more than 700 private funds and fund management groups.
