Experience and Background
Adrienne M. Baker focuses her practice on the taxation of private and regulated investment companies--including hedge funds and private equity funds--and financial products; partnership taxation; and international taxation.
Ms. Baker has been continuously ranked as a leading expert in The Legal 500 (U.S.), which noted her strength in the tax aspects of a range of private and regulated investment companies and hedge fund expertise. In its 2009 edition, The Legal 500 noted that Ms. Baker "specializes in investment companies of all types, including hedge funds and private equity and has a niche expertise in the tax aspects of IP."
Professional Activities
Ms. Baker is chair of the New Developments Subcommittee of the Committee on Investment Companies of the American Bar Association's Tax Section, and is a frequent speaker at investment fund conferences. She is also a member of the patent bar.
