Experience and Background
John Boyd advises fund managers, banks and brokers in relation to financial services regulatory work, onshore and offshore funds and related corporate finance work. He has assisted clients on the establishment and structuring of retail funds, institutional funds and offshore alternative investment structures with an emphasis on hedge funds.
Mr. Boyd has a particular interest in U.S. and European financial services
issues. He has advised U.S. advisors and promoters seeking to establish
funds offshore and assisted them to enter the European market. He has also advised on the UCITS Directives and other E.U. rules relating to the investment management industry. In addition, Mr. Boyd has been seconded to a leading London hedge fund manager.
Education
Mr. Boyd graduated from Sheffield University in 1999 (BA (Law)) and the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice in 2001.
