Experience and Background
Richard J. Temko, a business partner, has practiced in Brussels since 1976 and has been the managing partner of Dechert's Brussels office since 1983. His work involves commercial, corporate, tax, and banking matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganizations, venture capital, joint ventures, licensing, and a significant amount of international asset-based financing and cross-border leasing work. He is a member of the Legal and Taxation Committee of the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium. Mr. Temko, who speaks French fluently, writes and lectures frequently on financing and tax matters. He is a member of the New York and District of Columbia bars and is an associate member of the Brussels Bar.
Education
Mr. Temko is a graduate of Williams College (B.A., 1972) and Columbia Law School (J.D., 1974).
