Matthew Duxbury

Matthew Duxbury focuses his practice on the structuring and formation of onshore and offshore private funds. He has experience across a range of asset classes, with a focus on private debt, private equity, real estate and hedge. He also represents asset managers on secondary transactions, co-investment arrangements, the establishment of managed accounts and fund reorganisations and restructurings. In addition, he advises on general corporate, regulatory and compliance matters and service provider documentation for investment funds and their managers, as well as on the implementation of carried interest and other incentive schemes and negotiating seed deal and cornerstone agreements.

Mr. Duxbury has advised a variety of sponsors across the asset management sector in the U.K., the U.S. and continental Europe and has worked on and structured both regulated and unregulated funds across a number of domiciles, with a particular focus on Luxembourg, Ireland, Cayman and Delaware structures.

Mr. Duxbury trained with Dechert, spending time on secondment to the firm’s Dublin office.
