Christopher J. Geissler

Chris Geissler focuses his practice on financial services and investment management matters. He regularly advises U.S.-registered investment companies, their investment advisers and related financial services firms on regulatory, compliance and business matters. Mr. Geissler also advises boards of directors/trustees of U.S.-registered investment companies on fund governance and investment advisers on issues related to pay-to-play regulation and lobbyist registration. He has extensive experience with registered fund filing obligations, including for closed-end funds, and frequently advises clients on a variety of compliance and disclosure matters.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Geissler was a paralegal at Steptoe & Johnson LLP. He also served as a Student Honors Program intern with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
