Gennady A. Gorel

Gennady A. Gorel focuses his practice on representing participants in the commercial and residential mortgage markets. He is regularly involved in structuring and negotiating mortgaged-backed securitizations, warehouse lines, loan sale transactions and intercreditor arrangements.

Mr. Gorel’s securitization experience includes commercial mortgaged-backed securities (CMBS), commercial real estate collateralized loan obligations (CRE CLOs), single-family residential (SFR) securitizations, residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), non-performing asset securitizations and re-securitizations. He regularly represents issuers, underwriters, b-buyers, loan sellers and servicers in connection with such transactions.

Mr. Gorel also has substantial experience working with a variety of warehouse structures, including repurchase facilities, credit facilities and variable funded note transactions.

Mr. Gorel has consistently been recognized by industry publications for his work in structured finance, including The Legal 500 US. Mr. Gorel is an active participant in industry trade organizations such as the CRE Finance Council (CREFC).

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Gorel was a member of the capital markets department of a large international law firm.
