Jonathan H. Gaines

Jonathan Gaines has extensive experience advising registered funds, their boards and investment advisers on a wide range of regulatory and corporate governance matters. He has particular expertise in issues related to the launch and operation of alternative strategy investment funds such as business development companies, interval funds, and registered funds of private equity funds, and regularly advises clients on complex affiliated transaction and structuring questions related to these products.  

Mr. Gaines also advises public and private funds on their reporting obligations pursuant to Section 13 and Section 16 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, and has substantial expertise in structuring transactions to address these matters.
