Kenneth D. Hackman

Kenneth D. Hackman is a partner in Dechert’s global finance practice. Mr. Hackman’s practice encompasses a broad range of real estate finance and investment matters, including the representation of borrowers and lenders on single-family rental finance transactions, including the origination and securitization of single-family rental loans, repurchase facilities and warehouse facilities.

Mr. Hackman also has significant experience in the origination, acquisition and disposition of complex mortgage loans, mezzanine financings, the financing of distressed and under-performing mortgage debt, and the modification, workout and restructuring of complex distressed-debt structures. Mr. Hackman represents a number of investment banks, commercial banks, life insurance companies, institutional investors, specialty finance companies, REITs and private equity funds.

In 2022, Mr. Hackman was named to Law360’s Rising Stars list in the structured finance category. He is recognized as a next generation lawyer for real estate finance by The Legal 500 US and is also ranked by Chambers USA as a leading lawyer in the single family rental securitization category which noted he, “boasts the ability to act for borrower and lender-side clients on single-family rental loans”.

Mr. Hackman is an active participant in industry trade organizations such as the CRE Finance Council (CREFC).
