CEE Legal Matters Honors Dechert for Emerging Markets Dealmaking

Two Dechert LLP matters have been honored as “Deals of the Year” by CEE Legal Matters, the leading publication covering legal and transactional news in Central and Eastern Europe, for work carried out in 2023. The two winning transactions were:
Deal of the Year for Albania - the issuance of €600 million 5.9% Notes due 9 June 2028 by the Republic of Albania, acting through its Ministry of Finance and Economy. Dechert’s London-based international capital markets team advised the Republic on the oversubscribed transaction, which underscored Albania’s reputation as a sovereign issuer on the international capital markets.
Deal of the Year for North Macedonia - the sale by Dura Automotive Systems, a global automotive supplier and portfolio company of MiddleGround Capital, of Dura-Shiloh battery facilities located in North Macedonia, Czech Republic, and the United States, to Canada’s Linamar Corp. A Dechert team advised Dura Automotive and MiddleGround on the transaction. Dechert also advised MiddleGround on its original acquisition of Dura Automotive in 2020.
