Michael P. Wong’s practice focuses on alternative investment funds, particularly on the formation and structuring of private equity, hedge and digital asset funds. In addition, Mr. Wong regularly advises on secondaries, co-investment arrangements and carried interest schemes. His clients include investment managers, sovereign wealth funds, banks, venture capitalists and institutional investors.

Mr. Wong also has extensive experience advising on financial services regulatory matters such as licensing issues under the Securities and Futures Ordinance and fund distribution in Hong Kong and Asia, and has been active in advising on transactions relating to mergers and acquisitions of asset managers in Hong Kong and Asia.

Mr. Wong is ranked among the leading individuals for China investment funds and China financial services regulatory by Chambers Asia Pacific. He has also been recommended in the areas of investment funds and financial services regulatory by The Legal 500 Asia Pacific since 2013.
