EU data protection law is increasingly important to all international businesses that have operations in, or customers within, Europe. In the light of the recent adoption of a revised data protection regime, with the significantly higher sanctions expected in 2018 and the recently announced Privacy Shield (aka "Safe Harbor 2.0"), it seems a good time to revisit some of the basic compliance issues which arise and to indicate how they may change when the new regimes comes into effect.
In this second part of our series of webinars we continue our introduction to some of these issues. Given its importance, we will also give some introductory commentary on the Privacy Shield.
