Dechert Recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality” in 2022 Corporate Equality Index

Dechert LLP has been awarded a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) for the tenth consecutive year. Having satisfied all of CEI’s criteria, Dechert has been designated one of the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality.

The CEI was created 20 years ago and has become the nation’s foremost benchmarking survey and report measuring corporate policies and practices related to LGBTQ+ workplace equality. The CEI rates companies on detailed criteria falling under four central pillars:

  • Non-discrimination policies across business entities;
  • Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families;
  • Supporting an inclusive culture; and,
  • Corporate social responsibility.

Euromoney Recognizes Dechert as Best International Firm for Diversity, 2021

Global law firm Dechert LLP has been named “Best International Firm for Diversity” by Euromoney and Legal Media Group in the Americas Women in Business Law Awards 2021. The awards recognize outstanding women lawyers and the firms that set the standard for women-friendly work practices.

The firm was chosen for its “Building Understanding” employee program, an ongoing strategic initiative designed to address the issues underlying the Black Lives Matter movement and deepen our understanding of racism, anti-racist practices and ally-ship.

100 Best Companies and Best Companies for Dads

For the fourth time running, Seramount (formerly Working Mother Media) named Dechert to its "100 Best Companies" list. Seramount also named the firm to its “Best Companies for Dads” list for the second consecutive year.

Organizations named to the lists were recognized for focusing on inclusive benefits for families, including paid gender-neutral parental leave and backup childcare, and for supporting their employees throughout COVID-19.

Diversity Lab's Mansfield Plus 2021 Certification

Dechert LLP has achieved Mansfield Plus 2021 Certification for the third year in a row after completing the Mansfield Rule 4.0 12-month certification program, reinforcing the firm’s commitment to furthering diversity, equity and inclusion.

Launched by Diversity Lab in 2017, the certification measures whether law firms have affirmatively considered at least 30 percent women, underrepresented racial/ethnic groups, LGBTQ+ lawyers, and lawyers with disabilities for leadership and governance roles, equity partner promotions, formal client pitch opportunities, and senior lateral positions.

Best Place to Work for LGBTQ Equality: 100% Rating in the Corporate Equality Index

Dechert has been awarded, for the ninth consecutive year, a perfect score of 100 in the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2021 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and is included as one of the “Best Places to Work for LGBTQ Equality.”  The CEI is the foundation’s national survey and benchmarking tool, which rates over 1,000 businesses and is a driving force for LGBTQ workplace inclusion.

The firm earned this accolade based on anonymous surveys completed this summer by 785 associates, business service professionals and partners in the U.S., 93% of whom noted the firm was a great place to work.
