Edouard Albaret focuses his practice on matters related to investment management, private equity as well as corporate, finance and contractual law. In particular, Mr. Albaret advises domestic and international clients, including credit institutions and investment firms worldwide, on legal and regulatory aspects of the structuring, operation, administration, and winding-up of all types of Luxembourg investment vehicles, such as UCITS, specialized investment funds (SIFs) and investment companies in risk capital (SICARs), securitization vehicles and other regulated or unregulated alternative investment funds (AIFs). He also advises management companies and alternative investment funds managers (AIFMs).
His practice also includes advice on transactions, structured finance and data protection.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Albaret worked for several years in the investment fund department of leading independent Luxembourg law firms. He advised international clients, including Development Finance Institutions, on matters relating to the setting-up of investment funds, with a specific focus on private equity.
