Doing Business in Russia in 2015
Foreign and domestic companies operating in Russia face a number of new challenges in 2015. In the context of the economic situation in Russia and U.S./EU regulatory measures in response to the events in Ukraine, foreign entities dealing with Russian parties, as well as Russian entities dealing with U.S./EU parties or with operations in Europe and/or the United States, will need to evaluate their positions and the legal instruments they have at their disposal to reduce their exposure and protect their investments as they continue to operate and transact in the current environment. Furthermore, given the recent changes to the Russian Civil Code and upcoming changes to certain key laws governing corporate activity, companies with Russian operations urgently need to be aware of the new protections, concepts, and limitations that have been introduced, as well as the actions that need to be taken in the immediate future.
Please join us on 29 January 2014 at the Marriott Grand Hotel, Moscow for an interactive discussion over breakfast focusing on the following topics:
- U.S/EU Sanctions, Export Controls and Other Regulatory Measures
- Mergers and Acquisitions in Times of Stress
- Changes to Russian Corporate Law
- Protecting Investments in International Arbitration Fora
The discussion will feature Dechert lawyers from our Moscow and London offices.
