The National Veterans Legal Services Program (NVLSP) is an independent nonprofit organization that has worked since 1980 to ensure that the government keeps its promise to our nation's 25 million veterans, active duty personnel, and their families to provide them the benefits they have earned through their service to our country. Through its Lawyers Serving Warriors® pro bono program, NVLSP offers free legal assistance to U.S. veterans and service members through a network of volunteer attorneys at large private law firms and corporate legal departments. NVLSP staff attorneys provide training for and mentor these volunteers in representing these clients before the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), various military department agencies, and federal courts.

As part of NVLSP’s Lawyers Serving Warriors® program, the Military Sexual Trauma (MST) program provides pro bono representation to survivors of MST on their disability claims for mental conditions related to the sexual assault or harassment that occurred in service. This training will provide an overview of the process for claiming disability benefits for mental conditions that result from military sexual trauma.

CLE credit is pending in CA, CT, IL, NC, NJ, NY, PA, and TX.
