Russia Sanctions Briefing

Please join us for a roundtable briefing to discuss the implications of the recent report to Congress “Regarding Senior Russian Political Figures and Oligarchs”, prepared by the U.S. Treasury Department and delivered to Congress yesterday under Section 241 of the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act (CAATSA). The list includes 96 oligarchs and 114 government officials, and thus is likely to have implications for many of Russia’s largest companies. We will also discuss Section 231 implementation. The seminar will focus on what steps companies should be undertaking in light of the publication of the report and how companies and individuals listed may mitigate the risks associated with their inclusion. We will also look at what other developments 2018 may hold in terms of sanctions.
