Export Group for Aerospace, Defence and Dual-Use Annual Meeting

The Annual Meeting of The Export Group for Aerospace, Defence & Dual-Use (EGADD) will take place in London on 26 September to discuss the environments regarding export and trade controls, spanning many sectors that work with 'strategic goods', while also focusing on topical news information.

Mr. Tauwhare has extensive experience in UK, EU and U.S. export controls and sanctions. As a former senior UK diplomat with over 30 years’ experience, Mr. Tauwhare has a deep understanding of promoting and regulating UK exports and inward investments; negotiating international controls on arms and dual-use goods; the design, negotiation and implementation of UN, EU, US and OSCE sanctions and embargoes; and of counter-proliferation, human rights and international humanitarian law issues. He has led Cabinet Office reviews of Government-wide work on counter-proliferation and export controls, resulting in a revised national strategy and leaner, better coordinated structures; as well as directed cross-Government work resulting in major new policy documents on nuclear deterrence and on Soft Power.
