Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 5:00PM - 6:00PM

Hosted by Dechert's Data Privacy and Cybersecurity Team

The EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) represents the greatest change to European data security in 20 years. Several months have passed since GPDR came into force, and we have now started to see its impact on businesses and how regulators are reacting.

Please join members of Dechert’s intellectual property and labor and employment practices from the US, UK, France and Germany, and the firm’s Data Protection Officer, for an informal discussion on the practical implications of GDPR for business, particularly in the US, and what lessons have been learned.

In particular, this webinar focuses on:

  • How regulators are implementing GDPR
  • International data transfers from the EU to the US: Model Contracts, Privacy Shield and Binding Corporate Rules
  • Implementation of data privacy management systems (Privacy notice, internal policies, DPO)
  • Subject Access Requests under the GDPR — what employers need to know
