2019 Philadelphia Spring Labor and Employment Seminar
“Springing forward” with recent trends and developments in the workplace: What is new, what is challenging, and how best to comply with ever-changing legal obligations
While employers have always faced an evolving legal landscape, the past several months have been particularly active with respect to labor and employment issues. These new and challenging developments include expansion of the scope of protections from discrimination, numerous announcements of federal and state regulatory changes in the wage and hour area, and important guidance on how best to resolve workplace disputes.
This year, Dechert’s Spring Seminar will focus on identifying relevant trends and helping employers develop best practices to meet these continuing workplace challenges. Join us for an informative program that will:
- Review significant EEO developments, including in the area of appearance and grooming standards
- Address timely and critical FMLA and ADA guidance on issues including in the areas of notice of the need for leave, obligations to designate leave, and reasonable accommodation
- Highlight regulatory developments with respect to joint employer status, minimum wage issues, workplace rules, and pay reporting obligations
- Address the practical and legal considerations concerning the drafting and implementation of arbitration programs
- Identify best practices to comply with a changing legal landscape in each of these areas
