Capital Research Decision Overturned on Appeal

On January 26, 2007, the California Court of Appeal, 3rd Appellate District, ruled that the California Attorney General could maintain a suit filed against Capital Research and Management Company ("CRMC") and American Funds Distributors, Inc. ("AFD") regarding the non-disclosure of "shelf-space agreements" between CRMC, AFD, and unaffiliated broker-dealers which sell shares of the American Funds.
