FINRA Urges “Extraordinary Cooperation” From Members in Regulatory Notice

The Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) recently published Regulatory Notice 08-70 reminding its members of the benefits of “extraordinary cooperation” with FINRA’s investigative process. In return for providing such extraordinary cooperation to FINRA, firms may receive “credit” that may affect the ultimate resolution of an investigation. This update summarizes the Regulatory Notice as well as FINRA’s expectations for its members.
