Major Acquisition Approval Offers Procedural Insights on China’s New Antimonopoly Law

China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) recently issued its first public announcement approving a major acquisition under China’s new antimonopoly law. MOFCOM approved, subject to certain conditions, the acquisition of Anheuser-Busch by InBev. In connection with its announcement, MOFCOM provided new insights into the specific procedures it follows for review of antimonopoly filings.
