Public and private sector employers may need to revisit their employment contracts and human resources policies in light of the recent European Court of Justice judgement which held that workers on long-term sick leave accrue statutory paid holiday. This decision opens the door for the House of Lords to rule on the impact of this decision on private sector employers in the UK.
