NYSE Amends Immediate Press Release Policy and Establishes Notification Requirements for Listed Companies

May 14, 2009
The New York Stock Exchange has amended its Listed Company Manual to allow listed companies, including foreign private issuers, to comply with the NYSE’s immediate release policy by releasing information using any method permitted by Regulation FD, not only by issuing a press release. This update briefly summarizes the revised policy, which also requires listed companies to notify the NYSE at least ten minutes prior to the release to the public any news or information that might reasonably be expected to materially affect the market for their securities.
