Making It Easier to Invest: Ireland Removes Requirement for Non-Resident Declarations by Fund Investors

Following recent changes in revenue practice, Irish Funds may obtain an exemption from the Irish Revenue Commissioners which permits investors to subscribe for shares/units in an Irish Fund without completing a non-resident declaration. Dispensing with the declaration requirement should make it easier for investors to invest in Irish funds. This update examines the change of revenue practice and summarises the conditions Irish funds should comply with in order to avail of the exemption.
