Ireland Announces Further Enhancements to its Investment Funds Regime

The implementation of funds re-domiciliation legislation in Ireland is the latest in a series of recent developments concerning Irish investment funds. This update examines the legislation as well as several new and updated policies by the Financial Regulator, including permission for retail debt funds to charge fees and expenses to capital, permission to use the sole name of an investment manager in the name of a sub-fund, and expected changes regarding the minimum subscription requirement and eligible investor requirements for Irish Qualifying Investor Funds.
