Dechert Team Argues for Equal Recognition for all Married Couples, Gay or Straight

When I was 15 and first thought that I might like to be a lawyer, I hoped that I would have the opportunity to work on cases of real significance to ordinary people who had been denied justice and equality under the law. When I learned that Eric Brunstad, a partner in our Hartford office, had been asked by a sitting federal judge to draft two amicus briefs to be submitted as part of the Windsor v. United States litigation to be heard before the United States Supreme Court in March of this year, I leapt at the chance to be a part of Eric’s team.
