CFTC Finalizes Swap Data Recordkeeping and Reporting Requirements

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) recently finalized rules concerning the real-time public reporting of swap transaction data as well as swap data recordkeeping and reporting content requirements under the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010. Additionally, the CFTC issued a final order extending the potential latest expiration of previously-granted exemptive relief from certain swap regulatory requirements to July 16, 2012.
