Bingen Amezaga focuses his practice on commercial and investment international arbitration matters. He has extensive experience acting as an assistant or secretary of the Arbitral Tribunal as well as a counsel in more than 30 arbitral proceedings including arbitrations administered by the ICC, ICDR, SCC, CIADI, PCA, Corte de Arbitraje de Madrid, CIMA and ad hoc arbitrations.

Every year since 2016, he has been listed among the Future Leaders of Arbitration by The International Who's Who Legal.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Amezaga served as an associate in the international arbitration practice of a Franco-Italian law firm in Paris.

  • A multinational oil and gas company in an ICC arbitration involving a shareholders dispute.
  • A French subsidiary of a European leading fresh fruit and vegetables import-export operator in an ad-hoc arbitration against a subsidiary of one of the world largest growers and distributors of fresh fruit.
  • A major American hospitality company in an annulment proceeding before French courts.
  • An Ecuadorian bank in a French court litigation involving the funding of a hydroelectric plant in Ecuador.
