Chloe-Jane Belton has built an established reputation in defending and prosecuting both corporate and individual clients facing complex and serious criminal litigation. Ms. Belton has regularly acted in a range of serious and organized crime cases including a high profile multi-jurisdictional money laundering case.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Belton was an independent barrister acting for defendants and prosecuting in high profile cases brought before the criminal courts, regulatory tribunals and the Court of Appeal. She has increasing experience in matters of serious fraud and financial regulatory matters involving the SFO, previously acting as civil litigation privilege counsel in the SFO Bribery and Corruption Unit.
