Christopher Burrichter has experience in all stages of state and federal litigation, including product liability, securities, class action, biometric privacy, and white collar matters. Mr. Burrichter has successfully defended public companies and their employees across a broad range of industries, including medical device, pharmaceutical, energy, and technology.
Mr. Burrichter advises clients throughout the United States on high stakes disputes, including frequent appearances in court and before mediators. Recently, Mr. Burrichter has played a critical role in leading fact and expert discovery in the largest federal multi-district litigation in history. In the course of his work, Mr. Burrichter has participated in trials, taken and defended dozens of fact and expert depositions, written and successfully argued critical briefing, and negotiated favorable settlements for his clients.
Mr. Burrichter’s writing has been published in Reuters/Westlaw, Law360 and DRI’s For The Defense. Mr. Burrichter is also a regular contributor to the product liability and mass torts group’s newsletter, Dechert Re:Torts. Mr. Burrichter also sits on Dechert’s Litigation/AI Working Group. He is the Chair-Elect of the ABA’s Pharmaceutical, Medical Device and Bioscience Committee.
Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Burrichter was an associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP. He also externed for both the Honorable Richard Cudahy on the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit and the Honorable Susan Sonderby on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois
