Etienne Bimbeau focuses his practice on tax matters, with an emphasis on global and domestic taxation. He has experience advising corporates and private equity firms on the tax structuring of local and cross-border corporate transactions, including Leveraged Buyouts (LBOs), M&A deals, refinancings, corporate reorganizations and capital market transactions. Mr. Bimbeau also advises portfolio management companies on the tax structuring of private equity funds, as well as management teams on the structuring of their rights to carried interest.

Mr. Bimbeau is ranked as a Rising Star in The Legal 500 EMEA 2022 where he is quoted for being “very responsive”, “excellent” and (together with Sabina Comis) for his “direct approach and ability to make complex things simple. Their biggest asset is their great technical expertise.”

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Bimbeau worked for six years in the tax departments of prominent international law firms.
