Tony Brown practices in the area of corporate law, with particular emphasis on advising on complex investments, mergers and acquisitions and restructurings for private equity funds. Mr. Brown also advises on various corporate projects, including domestic, cross-border, private and public transactions. He has been noted in the 2018 edition of The Legal 500 UK, for private equity transactions: high-value deals.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Brown served as an associate at White & Case. His experience includes a secondment to a leading International private equity fund.

  • Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe, a leading US private equity firm focused primarily on technology and healthcare sectors, on the sale of its portfolio business AIM Software, a leading provider of data management solutions with a specialized focus on the buy-side, to SimCorp, a Danish listed entity, for an enterprise value of EUR 60m.
  • HRA Pharma, a portfolio company of Astorg Partners, on the acquisition of the Mederma Brand from Merz Pharmaceuticals GmbH.
  • One Equity Partners on the acquisition of the MERA group, a custom software developments services provider.
  • Further Global, a US private equity firm that makes investments in businesses within the financial services industry, on its successful £100 million take private of GBGI, the London listed holding company for the "The Global Benefits Group" which provides international benefits insurance globally through various subsidiary companies.
