Jean Chang focuses her practice on matters relating to international trade, regulatory and government investigations. She advises clients on compliance with U.S. export control and economic sanctions regimes, in addition to conducting internal investigations, preparing disclosures regarding violations and responding to government enforcement actions. Ms. Chang also has experience advising on import issues, including antidumping and countervailing duty actions, Section 201 safeguard measures, and Section 301 and Section 232 tariffs. Additionally, she conducts due diligence and risk assessment for trade-related matters in connection with mergers, acquisitions and other corporate transactions.

In addition to her private practice, Ms. Chang is a certified public accountant and has experience representing entities facing U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and U.S. Department of Justice investigations and litigation. Prior to joining Dechert, she was previously an auditor at a Big Four accounting firm and an accounting supervisor at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.
