Lindsey B. Cohan is a partner in Dechert’s Austin office and a member of the complex commercial litigation and products liability and mass torts litigation groups. Her practice focuses on the representation of corporate clients in a wide range of commercial litigation, with a focus on the pharmaceutical space. She specializes in the coordination of high-stakes multi-jurisdictional litigation in state and federal courts throughout the country, including litigation brought by State Attorneys General involving novel legal theories.

Ms. Cohan has led and managed teams at every stage of litigation, including discovery, dispositive motion practice, trial, and settlement. She was an integral member of the team representing an opioid manufacturer in thousands of state and federal lawsuits. Most recently, she was appointed to the Leadership Development Committee in the Zantac multidistrict litigation pending in federal court. 

Ms. Cohan maintains an active pro bono practice, including leading multiple teams in voting rights litigation in Texas and throughout the country.

Ms. Cohan is a member of the Editorial Committee of the product liability and mass torts group’s newsletter, Dechert Re:Torts.

    • A major pharmaceutical manufacturer in significant MDL and state court litigation, including personal injury and class action lawsuits, alleging that company’s medication caused cancer.
    • A major pharmaceutical manufacturer in nationwide litigation brought by thousands of state attorneys general, municipal governmental plaintiffs, hospitals, third party payors, and others arising from the company's marketing and promotion of prescription opioid medications.
    • A customer experience company in multi-million dollar Texas state court litigation involving fraud claims. 
    • A global logistics and shipping company in trial and appellate matters pending in state and federal courts around the country, including in Michigan, New York, Texas and Utah.
