Timothy F. Dewberry handles patent litigation matters, representing clients at trial in district courts and section 337 investigations before the International Trade Commission.  He frequently works with clients in the high tech industry, and is particularly experienced in cases involving wireless telecommunication hardware and software, business software and databases, semiconductors, oil and gas extraction technology.

Prior to joining Dechert, Mr. Dewberry served as an associate in the Atlanta office of another international law firm.

  • Intellectual Ventures v. T-Mobile USA, Inc. et al. (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas).  Represent Intellectual Ventures in multiple patent infringement suits relating to LTE wireless telecommunication systems, in which a $43,000,000 jury verdict was obtained.  Settled.
  • Mondis Technology Ltd v. LG Electronics, Inc., et al. (U.S. District Court, New Jersey) Represented Mondis Technologies in patent infringement litigation involving televisions, in which a $45,000,000 jury verdict was obtained.  Pending.
  • Intellectual Ventures v. AT&T Mobility et al. (U.S. District Court, District of Delaware).  Represent Intellectual Ventures in multiple patent infringement suits relating to telecommunications systems.  Settled.
  • Kohr et al. v. City of Houston (U.S. District Court, Southern District of Texas).  Represent homeless individuals pro bono in constitutional challenge to City of Houston ordinances.  Pending.
  • JobDiva, Inc. v. Monster Worldwide, Inc. (U.S. District Court, Southern District of New York).  Represented Monster Worldwide in a patent infringement litigation involving searching computer databases.  Settled.
  • Career Destination Development, LLC, v. Monster Worldwide, Inc., (U.S. District Court, District of Kanas) (U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Patent Trial and Appeal Board).  Represented Monster Worldwide in patent infringement litigation involving employment websites.  Settled.
  • Mondis Technology Ltd v. LG Electronics, Inc., et al. (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Texas) Represented Mondis Technologies in patent infringement litigation involving televisions.  Transferred to D.N.J.
  • Nokia Corporation v. HTC Corporation: Nokia in patent infringement litigation involving mobile telephones.
  • Certain Microprocessors, Components Thereof, and Products Containing Same: complainant X2Y against Intel Inc. in case relating to semiconductor design.
  • Petroleum Analyzer Company L.P. v. ATOM: Petroleum Analyzer Company in proceedings involving patents covering oil exploration technology.
  • WiAV Solutions LLC v. Motorola Mobility Inc., et al.: Nokia in patent infringement litigation involving mobile telephones.
  • Nokia Corporation v. Apple Inc.: Nokia Corporation in patent infringement litigation in the ITC and district courts relating to mobile phones.
