Ruxandra Irina Esanu centers her practice on international arbitration matters, with a focus on investment cases and technical issues, such as production in the oil sector.

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Esanu served as a legal intern at Dechert's Paris office. She also interned at the Bucharest office of a leading international law firm and in the London and Paris offices of another leading law firm. Ms. Esanu has also held a clerkship with the Second Civil Chamber of the French Court of cassation.

Significant Representations

  • A Latin American State in two ICSID arbitrations arising from the termination of a participation contract to explore and operate petroleum fields and for the environmental harm caused to the Amazonian rainforest.
  • Two major Eastern European construction companies in an international commercial arbitration arising out of an infrastructure project.
