Tiffany Engsell is an associate in the firm’s litigation practice group, where she represents and advises corporate and entity clients in connection with shareholder derivative, antitrust, fiduciary duty, contract, and other complex commercial matters and has experience defending clients involved in government investigations. Ms. Engsell has represented major pharmaceutical, chemical manufacturing, insurance, and gaming companies in various stages of proceedings in state and federal court.  

In her pro bono practice, Ms. Engsell represents individuals alleging violations of their civil rights.  She has obtained a five-figure settlement for a prison plaintiff alleging constitutional violations against prison guards and is currently representing a former inmate who was wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years.  

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Engsell clerked for the Honorable Eduardo C. Robreno of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.  Ms. Engsell is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School, where she was an Executive Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review.  

  • Represent through trial Delaware LLC member in connection with claims alleging numerous breaches of fiduciary and contractual duties.
  • Obtained dismissal, and Third Circuit affirmance of dismissal, of putative class and derivative claims brought by policyholders against a Forture 500 insurance company. 
  • Defend a generic pharmaceutical manufacturer in mult-district litigation regarding alleged price fixing and market allocation. 
  • Defended leading milk processor against antitrust claims by retail plaintiffs.
