Alexandra Fellowes represents technology, medical device and pharmaceutical companies in patent litigation, as both plaintiffs and defendants. In the litigation arena, Ms. Fellowes’s experience spans all aspects of trial and appellate practice in federal and state courts across the United States, and before domestic and international arbitral tribunals. Ms. Fellowes also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing individuals in immigration proceedings.


Significant Representations

  • CardioNet et. al. v. Mednet Healthcare Tech. et al. (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania). Represented plaintiff BioTelemetry (formerly CardioNet) in asserting 5 patents involving mobile cardiac monitoring technology. Obtained judgment of infringement, validity and enforceability of all five asserted patents, and injunctions against all defendants.
  • CardioNet et. al. v. MedTel24, Inc. et al. (U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania). Represented plaintiff BioTelemetry (formerly CardioNet) in enforcing consent judgment. BioTelemetry was awarded its lost profits and attorneys’ fees.
  • Athenahealth, Inc. v. AdvancedMD Software, Inc. (U.S. District Court, District of Massachussetts). Defended ADP AdvancedMD subsidiary in patent infringement litigation related to healthcare information technology and medical claim processing. Resolved case with favorable settlement.
  • Lambda Optical v. Alcatel-Lucent (U.S. District Court, District of Delaware). Represented defendant in litigation concerning optical switches used in Wavelength Division Multiplexing.
  • AstraZeneca LP et al v. Breath Limited et al. (U.S. District Court, District of New Jersey). Represented AstraZeneca in ANDA litigation concerning Pulmicort Respules®, an inhalation medication for the treatment of pediatric asthma. 
  • Certain Wireless Devices, Inv. No. 337-TA-663 (International Trade Commission). Represented Samsung Telecommunications in a patent-based 337 investigation involving Kodak patents relating to digital camera technology.
  • Certain Wireless Devices, Inv. No. 337-TA-703 (International Trade Commission). Represented Apple in a 337 investigation involving a Kodak patent relating to digital camera technology. The Kodak patent was found invalid.
  • Mangosoft, Inc. v. Oracle Corporation (U.S. District Court, District of New Hampshire). Represented Oracle regarding patents relating to database clustering technology.
