Nathalia Jordao focuses her practice on commercial arbitration and complex commercial litigation with an emphasis on M&A litigation and agribusiness. Ms. Jordao represents clients across a range of general litigation matters, including bankruptcy, creditors’ rights litigation, contracts and insolvency proceedings.

Prior to joining Dechert, Ms. Jordao served as an associate at Costa & Tavares Paes Advogados, in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where she represented clients in complex commercial litigation and commercial arbitration proceedings.

  • A leading European food packaging company and the largest Brazilian paper producer in commercial arbitration proceedings involving M&A and construction issues.

  • A leading Brazilian pharmaceutical company and the company’s main shareholder in US$50 million civil suits between them and the minority shareholder.
  • A Spanish corporation in US$10 million court proceedings related to the breach of a turn-key contract to build power energy stations.
  • Brazil's largest real estate company in a commercial arbitration proceeding involving the breach of a JVA agreement with a Brazilian bank.
