Practice Areas

Dean V. Krishna focuses his practice on international and domestic income tax matters. Mr. Krishna has advised on matters including U.S. and international mergers and acquisitions, acquisition financing, syndicated lending arrangements, commercial securities offerings, CLO issuances, business restructurings, and general domestic and cross-border tax planning. Mr. Krishna is actively involved in firm citizenship at Dechert and has served on its hiring committee and summer committee. Mr. Krishna regularly dedicates over 100 hours a year to a pro bono practice focused on U.S. federal income tax matters.

Having previously served with Dechert as a summer associate and an associate in the finance and real estate group, Mr. Krishna rejoined the firm in 2013 after three years practicing in the corporate and tax groups of a firm in the Midwest. Before law school, Mr. Krishna served as a Teach for America Corps Member and taught sixth grade in East Palo Alto, CA.

  • Northern Brewer, LLC in its sale to ZX Ventures Holdings Corp., the venture capital unit of Anheuser-Busch InBev.
  • Stifel Financial Corp. (NYSE: SF) on its acquisition of Eaton Partners, LLC.
  • Ipsen (Euronext: IPN; ADR: IPSEY) on its acquisition of global oncology assets from Merrimack Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: MACK) for up to US$1 billion.
  • CDI Corp. on its acquisition of EdgeRock Technologies, LLC.
  • NOVADAQ Technologies Inc. (NASDAQ:NVDQ; TSX:NDQ) in its acquisition by Stryker Corp. (NYSE:SYK) for approximately US$701 million.
