Ed Kingsbury advises a range of asset manager and investor clients on investment management and fund formation, including on the structuring, establishment and operation of investment funds and investment management arrangements. Mr. Kingsbury has a particular interest in private equity and venture capital funds. His experience includes advising on: establishing new asset managers; fund formation and capital raising; ongoing house matters; compliance and regulatory issues; secondary transactions in fund interests; and fund-related M&A.

Mr. Kingsbury is a member of the British Venture Capital Association’s Regulatory Committee. Prior to joining Dechert, he was general counsel of a European asset management group with infrastructure, private equity and asset management teams focused on sustainability and resource and energy efficiency. He was responsible for legal, regulatory, fund and compliance matters and gained considerable experience of fund and investment management issues. Mr. Kingsbury trained and worked for seven years at a London-based law firm with a leading investment management group, including secondments with Numis Securities and Lloyds Bank Capital Markets.
