Charles Lam focuses his practice on corporate matters, with particular emphasis on corporate finance transactions including public and private mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, debt offerings, and general compliance matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lam worked at another international law firm.

  • Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science and Technology Co. Ltd. on its RMB11.6 billion major disposal of its environmental sanitation business and assets.
  • Lianhua Supermarket Holdings Co., Ltd. on its RMB998 million asset swap transaction for the acquisition of hypermarket chain and shopping center in the PRC.
  • A substantial shareholder on the acquisition of a controlling stake in a HK-listed telecommunication equipment company and the subsequent mandatory general offer.
  • The financial advisor to the offeree on the general offer triggered by the acquisition and subscription of the shares of Skyway Securities Group Limited by CMBC International Holdings Limited and China Huarong Overseas Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. 
  • The financial adviser to the offeror on the HK$6.11 billion acquisition and mandatory cash offers for China Shengmu Organic Milk.

  • Zhejiang New Century Hotel Management Co., Ltd. on its HK$1.16 billion initial public offering and listing on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
  • A HK-listed property development and construction company on the establishment of US$500 million medium term note and perpetual securities programme.
  • A HK-listed PRC-based property development company on the offering of US$400 million senior notes.
  • The joint underwriters on the HK$1.2 billion rights issue by a HK-listed PRC-based securities and brokerage company.
