Maria Loudjeva focuses her practice on advising multinational companies on merger control, abuse of dominant position cases, cartel investigations and state aid issues before the EU. 

Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Loudjeva previously worked at another international law firm, and was a trainee at DG Competition, European Commission. 


Significant Representations

  • Assisting in complex cross-border investigations of corrupt practices and briberies by foreign officials and multinational companies.
  • Assisted in complex cross-border restructuring of debt; drafted non-disclosure agreements; assisted in the transfer of properties.
  • Part of the team that secured European Commission’s clearance of the €1.4 billion acquisition of an airline following a Phase II investigation.
  • Formed part of the case teams for Upstream Gas Supplies in Central and Eastern Europe.
