Fatima Mohammed focuses her practice in the area of commercial real estate finance, with specialization in the origination, acquisition, syndication and disposition of mortgage and mezzanine financings (including construction loans), loan sales and purchases, and post-closing modifications. Ms. Mohammed’s practice also includes loan-on-loan transactions, repurchase facilities, warehouse facilities, and residential mortgage loan sales. She represents a number of commercial banks, investment banks, insurance companies, institutional lenders, private equity investors and loan servicers, and has experience with a wide variety of real estate properties, including office buildings, retail, hospitality, warehouse, condominium and ground leased properties.

Ms. Mohammed is also actively involved in firm citizenship at Dechert. Among other efforts, she is a co-chair of the Landlord-Tenant pro bono practice group, a member of the firm-wide associates committee, and is involved in the firm’s diversity & inclusion efforts. Ms. Mohammed is also a contributor to the firm’s finance and real estate blog, Crunched Credit.

  • Represented a group of global banks, as lenders, in connection with the origination and disposition of US$5.4 billion mortgage and mezzanine loans secured by 288 industrial and warehouse properties and 23 office properties located in 26 states throughout the United States.
  • Represented global banks, as lenders, in connection with the origination and disposition of a US$576 million mortgage loan secured by 13 retail centers and 1 movie theatre located in 4 states.
  •  Represented a global bank, as lender, in the origination of a US$268.5 million mortgage loan secured by fee and ground leasehold interests in a New Jersey commercial complex.
